Charles H Moody

charlesmoodyMoody, Charles H., 90, of Louisville, returned to his heavenly father on June 30, 2015.

He was born to the late George and Elsa Moody in Erie, PA on January 27, 1925. Chuck was a WWII Navy veteran, and retired from G.E. as a manufacturing engineer. He attended Gannon College and CA Poly Institute of Technology. Chuck was a charter member of Hurstbourne Baptist Church, a member of Suburban Lodge #740, a Kosair Shriner, an Honorary Kentucky Colonel and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite member.

Chuck was preceded in death by his brother, George Moody and children, Sharon Kezios and Michael Brown.

He leaves behind to grieve, his loving wife, Doris Cundiff Moody of 55 years; a daughter, Karen Bassett; grandchildren, Tamara Aruj, Michael Joffe, Daniel Kezios, Lisa Higdon; a great-granddaughter, Bliss Aruj; a sister, Ruth Lewis; a sister-in-law, Billie Lee; his loving niece and nephew, Bobby and Lauren Johnston; a son-in-law, George Kezios, who cared for him during his illness; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

Chuck will be laid to rest on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-5 on Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hurstbourne Baptist Church, Petri Class

RALPH WADE MARTIN, PM

Brother Martin was born on 27th day of December, 1933 in Metcalf County, KY. He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 9th day of October, 1979; was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 3rd day of November, 1979; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 20th day of December, 1979, all in Harry R Kendal Lodge #750. He affiliated to Suburban Lodge #740 on 2nd day of June, 1981, where he served as Master in 1987. He was a faithful member for 35 years.

Having completed the designs upon his trestleboard, Brother Martin laid down the working tools of his busy life and entered that celestial lodge above on the 16th day of March, 2014.
He is sadly missed by wife, children, other family members and many friends.

Masonic Services were conducted by Brother Tom Mercer, Master.

MELVIN LEROY CARTER, PM

Brother Carter was born on 10th day of March, 2014 in Prospect, KY.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 6th day of May, 1955;  was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 17th day of June, 1955; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 26th day of August, 1955, all in Crecent Hill Lodge #820 F&AM. He affiliated to Suburban Lodge #740 on 2nd day of April, 1981.  He was a faithful member for 69 years.

Having completed the designs upon his trestle board, Brother Carter laid down the working tools of his busy life and entered that celestial lodge above on the 10th day of March, 2014.

He is sadly missed by his children, other family members, and many friends.

Masonic Services were conducted by Brother Joe Marshall, PM.

WILLARD FRANKLIN PRICE

Brother Price was born on 8th day of March, 2012 in Louisville, KY.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 2nd day of February, 1950;  was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 21st day of August, 1952; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 19th day of March, 1953, all in Suburban Lodge #740 F&AM.  He was a faithful member for 63 years.

Having completed the designs upon his trestle board, Brother Price laid down the working tools of his busy life and entered that celestial lodge above on the 8th day of March, 2012.

He is sadly missed by his wife, children and many friends. No Masonic services were conducted.

E T DAVIDSON

Brother Davidson was born on 11th day of February, 2014 in Louisville, KY.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 16th day of March, 1960;  was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 6th day of April, 1960; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 14th day of May, 1960, all in Mt. Zion Lodge #147, F&AM.  He transferred to Kilwinning Lodge #506 in 1963.. He affiliated to Suburban Lodge #740 on 11th day of February, 2002.  He was a faithful member for 54 years.

Having completed the designs upon his trestle board, Brother Davidson laid down the working tools of his busy life and entered that celestial lodge above on the 11th day of February, 2014.
He is sadly missed by his wife, children and many friends.

Masonic Services were conducted by Brother Cecil Norman of Harrison Lodge #122.

RICHARD VANCE PRUCHA

Brother Prucha was born on 9th day of January, 2014 in Lorain, OH.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 1st day of March, 1956;  was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 10th day of May, 1956; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 21st day of June, 1956, all in Suburban Lodge #740, F&AM.  He was a faithful member for 58 years.

HOWARD GENE HUFFMAN

Brother Huffman was born on 4th day of January, 2014 in Grayson, KY.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 26th day of October, 1990; was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 22nd day of February, 1991; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 22nd day of March, 1991, all in Okolona Lodge # 853. He affiliated to Suburban Lodge #740 on 28th day of March, 1998.  He was a faithful member for 23 years.

Having completed the designs upon his trestle board, Brother Huffman laid down the working tools of his busy life and entered that celestial lodge above on the 4th day of January, 2014.

He is sadly missed by his children and many friends. No Masonic services were conducted.

PAUL SOLOMON TROUTMAN SR.

Brother Troutman was born on the 15th day of January,1940 in Claremont, KY. He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 9th day of November, 1978; was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 21st day of December, 1978; and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on the 25th day of January, 1979–all in Suburban Lodge #740 F&AM. He was a faithful member for 35 years.

CHARLES HENRY EATON JR.

Brother Eaton was born on May 24th, 1924 in Texarkana, AK.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 21st day of March, 1963;  was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 18th day of April, 1963;  and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on the 25th day of May, 1963–all in  Suburban Lodge #740 F&AM.  He was a faithful member for 50 years.

ROGER K EARLS

Brother Earls was born on May 7th 1922, in Louisville, Kentucky.  He received his Entered Apprentice Degree on the 7th day of November, 1946; was passed the degree of Fellow Craft on the 25th day of May, 1950; and raised to the Sublime degree of Master Mason on the 13th day of July, 1950–all in Suburban Lodge #740 F&AM.

He was a faithful member for 67 years. Having completed the designs upon his trestle board, Brother Earls laid down the working tools of his busy life and entered that celestial lodge above on the 11th day of January, 2013. He is sadly missed by his children, family members and many friends.
